The Polk County Sheriffโs Office says crews responded to a house fire along Maple Lake S. of Mentor Monday. When firefighters arrived, the house was fully engulfed in flames. Crews from the Mentor Fire Department and surrounding agencies were able to put the fire out quickly.
The Sheriffโs Office says no one was home and all residents are accounted for. The Fertile and Erskine Fire Departments, Polk County EMS, and Ottertail Power assisted at the scene. The cause is under investigation.
