2 hospitalized after being pulled from house fire in New Hope

VIDEO: Two people are hospitalized after being pulled from a burning home in New Hope Tuesday morning. The fire broke out in the single-family home, located on the 8100 block of 38th Ave. N, at 6:12 a.m.

An engine crew from the West Metro Fire Department led the attack on the fire while colleagues conducted searches on both floors of the residence. New Hope police say two victims were located. One was taken to North Memorial Medical Center, while the other is being treated at Hennepin County Medical Center. Their conditions are currently unknown.

Neighbors told KARE 11’s Michelle Baik that an older man and his son live in the home. As of 7:30 a.m., the fire was declared extinguished, but crews remained on scene throughout the morning to handle flare-ups and hotspots. Damage to the structure is significant.

Investigators from West Metro Fire and the New Hope Police Department are working to determine a cause.
