Tattoo shop hosts event to raise money for Mt. Morris firefighters

VIDEO: Studio 42 Tattoo on Pierson Road hosted a charity tattoo event Sunday to support the Mt. Morris Township Fire Department. The event celebrates both National Firefighters Day and Star Wars Day and featured a variety of tattoos with custom Star Wars and firefighter-themed designs.

60 percent of the tattoo sales go to help the fire department. “I think it’s very important especially for our community, locally, because if we do have the more upgraded tools we, the resources that we need we can help our community more,” said Donny Morrison, a part-time firefighter who works at Studio 42. Five tattoo artists donated their time and talents for the cause between noon and 9 p.m.
