No injuries following Marquette County shed fire

VIDEO: The Chocolay Township Fire Department reports that no one was injured following a structure fire on Wednesday afternoon. Chief Lee Gould says crews were dispatched just before noon to a structure fire on Cherry Creek Road in Chocolay Township near Valley Road. Upon arriving, crews reported two larger and smaller sheds, engulfed in flames. They were able to extinguish the fire quickly.

Chocolay Chief of Police Anthony Carrick says they were made aware of an individual in distress on the scene as well. With assistance from the MSP, Chocolay Police were able to help the individual. Carrick says there were no injuries during the fire, and no one was in danger of injury during the incident. The Chocolay Fire Department was assisted by Chocolay Police, Marquette City Fire Department, Marquette Township Fire Department, Michigan State Police and UPHS-Marquette.
