No one was injured and multiple pets were rescued from an overnight house fire in Holland. Smoke was first reported in a home in the 200 block of W 32nd Street around 1:48 a.m. Wednesday.
When crews arrived a few minutes later, smoke and flames were seen from the second story of the home. Firefighters quickly knocked down the fire and no other buildings were damaged. Four cats and one dog were rescued from the home and were uninjured. While the family wasn’t hurt, they have been displaced by the damage. The Holland Fire Department is reminding West Michiganders that any air conditioning units should be directly plugged into the outlet, not through a power strip or extension cord.
