Former state police building in Bangor Township may become the new fire station

VIDEO:ย An old state police post in Bay County that has been vacant for over a decade could soon become a new fire station. Bangor Township Supervisor Glenn Rowley said the township bought the water-damaged building from the state last year for one dollar. Plans are in place to demolish the North Euclid Avenue building within the next two months. Rowley hopes it will eventually replace the current fire station on West North Union Street, which he said is not in good condition. “We bought this with a hope for a plan,” said Rowley. “We have a very aging and unsafe building right now for our firefighters, and we would really like to find a better home for them and something that’s much better for our residents.”
