VIDEO/PHOTOS: Two adult dogs and nineteen puppies were killed during a fire early Sunday morning. The dogs were mastiffs, according to South Haven Area Emergency Services (SHAES) officials.
Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire around 5 a.m. at a building on M-43 near 50th Street, investigators said. The building, which was fully engulfed in flames when crews arrived, was ultimately destroyed.
Images from the scene reveal the extent of the damage, with the structure reduced to charred remains. Investigators believe a heat lamp near straw was the cause of the fire.
