Hazmat team responds to pipe leak at public works facility in Hudson

A hazmat team was called to the Department of Public Works in Hudson, Massachusetts, on Saturday morning, after a pipe was damaged, causing a chemical leak. Massachusetts Department of Fire Services hazmat techs said they were called to support the Hudson Fire Department at the scene shortly before 8 a.m. Saturday. Hazmat techs at the scene said the spillage was contained and they will be assisting a private cleanup company with removing it. Additionally, a Department of Fire Services rehab unit was called to the scene to support firefighter health and safety. There is no word yet on what caused the pipe to be damaged and leak, or if there were any injuries.
