Fire broke out at a triple-decker in Boston’s Hyde Park neighborhood on Thursday. First responders were called to the home on Roxana Street around 1:30 p.m., according to the Boston Fire Department. Everyone was able to evacuate, according to District Fire Chief Steven Mitchell. One firefighter was taken to the hospital with injuries.
A photo from the scene shows flames and damage to the front porches on the second and third floors. The owner of the building told NBC10 Boston off-camera that he is glad he and his dog were unhurt and he is going to deal with the loss one step at a time. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
