One person rescued from Inner Harbor after vehicle submerged, Baltimore fire officials say

PHOTOS: One person has been rescued Tuesday evening after a vehicle submerged into the Inner Harbor, according to the Baltimore City Fire Department.

During the evening of Nov. 18, BCFD, Baltimore police, as well as the Dive Team and Underwater Recovery Team, responded to the 700 block of Eastern Avenue for a report of a vehicle in the harbor.

Upon arrival, Fire Rescue Boat 1 and 2 worked in tandem and confirmed a vehicle was fully submerged between Baltimore Harbor Piers 4 and 5.

BCFD dive teams recovered one victim in critical condition, who was then transported to a local hospital, according to authorities.

A secondary search of the vehicle found no additional victims.

Around 9 p.m., a tow truck was seen pulling the submerged vehicle out of the Inner Harbor.
