Two men injured in suspected propane explosion in Farmington

Two men were seriously injured Saturday morning in a suspected propane explosion at a mobile home on Moore Avenue in Farmington, officials said. The blast happened around 10:21 a.m. at 153 Moore Ave., according to the Farmington Fire Department. When emergency crews arrived, they found 68-year-old Mike Warren and 62-year-old Jon Bubier with severe burns. The two men, both from Farmington, were cleaning the property owned by Bubier when the explosion occurred. They were both taken to Franklin Memorial Hospital for their injuries but were later flown by LifeFlight to Maine Medical Center for further treatment.

Officials believe propane may have been involved, but the cause is still under investigation by the Maine State Fire Marshalโ€™s Office. Farmington fire and police departments, along with Maine State Police, are assisting in the investigation.
