Teenager charged with arson after setting multiple fires in Rangeley

A teenager has been charged with arson after authorities say the teenager set multiple fires in Rangeley. The Maine Fire Marshalโ€™s Office says they were called to a home on Pleasant Street on Friday. When crews arrived, they realized that the home had been ransacked. They also found multiple small fires that had been put out before they arrived. Officials say the fires only caused minimal damage. Authorities later determined that the fires were set by a 14-year-old. The teenager was then charged with arson and was taken to the Long Creek Youth Development Center in South Portland. The investigation is ongoing.
