A little mischief from a family pet lead to a fire in Levant Thursday morning. Fire crews were called to a home on Mcintosh Avenue. When they arrived, they found smoke in the back room.
The homeowner said a cat had knocked over a candle catching a TV on fire. She grabbed a fire extinguisher but was unable to put out the fire.
Fire crews were able to get the fire out with minimal damage to the home. The homeowner and the cat were not injured.
