Driver rescued after car flips on its side in East Baton Rouge Parish

A driver had to be rescued following a single-car crash in Central early Sunday morning. According to the Central Fire Department, first responders were called to a car crash in the 12300 block of Gurney Road just before 6 a.m.

When they arrived, a car was found flipped on its side. The driver was still in the car and could not get out, according to firefighters. Crews used tools to safely remove the carโ€™s windshield, and the driver was able to walk out. No injuries were reported.
