VIDEO: Lynnville Fire and Police Departments have come together with the community to hold a benefit for officer Sam Taylor. The town of Lynnville has been working on this event for a while now. Taylorโs uncle Adam Hopkins says that the Lynnville Fire Department reached out the day after the incident and wanted to help.
โMichael, the fire chief here in town, he called me right after the incident happened, and he made it clear from the start that he didnโt want to burden the family with any of this,โ Hopkins said. โAnd he was going to handle all of it.And, I guess what? About six weeks since we put all this together, came together, and itโs been amazing.โ
Evansville Police Officer Sam Taylor was critically injured in the line of duty. He is currently in Atlanta being treated for his injuries.
