A Decatur County family has been displaced after a house fire on Wednesday morning. It happened around 7 a.m. at a home in the 2000 block West County Road 400 South.
Letts and Westport fire departments were dispatched and Greensburg Fire was also called to the scene. The fire was located in the kitchen ceiling and had extended into the second floor.
โAccess to the second floor had been previously boarded up, requiring firefighters to gain entry through an exterior window,โ stated the Letts Fire Department. The fire was brought under control and units cleared the scene around 8:30 a.m.
