4 hospitalized after school bus crash on I-70 near Knightstown

VIDEO/PHOTOS: Interstate 70 eastbound has reopened after a crash involving an overturned school bus near Knightstown had temporarily closed all lanes on Monday evening. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the crash occurred near the 119-mile marker on I-70 eastbound in Henry County. This is a few miles east of Knightstown.

According to the Knightstown Fire Department, the incident involved four vehicles, including the school bus. A total of three individuals were transported from the scene to an area hospital, while another was transported to a hospital based in Indianapolis. โ€œThis was a significant incident that required the combined efforts of multiple local and state agencies,โ€ said Lt. Kaleb Buchanan with the Knightstown Fire Department. โ€œWe appreciate the cooperation of the public as crews work to ensure safety and reopen the roadway.โ€
