VIDEO/PHOTOS: Interstate 70 eastbound has reopened after a crash involving an overturned school bus near Knightstown had temporarily closed all lanes on Monday evening. According to the Indiana Department of Transportation, the crash occurred near the 119-mile marker on I-70 eastbound in Henry County. This is a few miles east of Knightstown.
According to the Knightstown Fire Department, the incident involved four vehicles, including the school bus. A total of three individuals were transported from the scene to an area hospital, while another was transported to a hospital based in Indianapolis. โThis was a significant incident that required the combined efforts of multiple local and state agencies,โ said Lt. Kaleb Buchanan with the Knightstown Fire Department. โWe appreciate the cooperation of the public as crews work to ensure safety and reopen the roadway.โ
