VIDEO: Several local fire departments responded to a fire at a vacant unit in a single story duplex Wednesday morning in Urbana. At approximately 5:19 a.m., the Carroll Fire Department and Eastern Prairie Fire Protection District responded to a fire alarm at 2002 Prairie View Drive. Upon arrival, firefighters found the fire was actually happening at 2004 Prairie View Drive. The fire broke out in a vacant unit at the single story duplex. After a quick assessment of the scene, the incident was upgraded to a working fire. The residents of the occupied side of the structure were able to evacuate, and no injuries were reported.
