VIDEO: A late night crash involving an ambulance in Moultrie County left a lasting mark both on the road and in the Fire Chiefโs mind. Officials said it happened off of State Road 121 and County Road 1600 E outside of Allenville.
The Sullivan Fire Protection District said that early Tuesday morning, one of its ambulances was coming back from dropping off a patient and ended up being involved in a horrific crash. You could see tire marks, charred ground and debris leftover from the day before.
It was a scene with so much damage, but thankfully, no lives were lost. โThe main concern going into it that we thought we had guys hurt,โ said Sullivan Fire Chief Chris Wright. Wright said he got a call early Tuesday morning that an ambulance with two firefighter EMTs got in a wreck.
