VIDEO: Two people were rescued off the shoreline of Ke Iki Beach Sunday. At around 7:45 a.m., Honolulu Emergency Medical Services said it co-responded to two patients, a woman, 69, and a man, 76, who were swept out into the surf from the shoreline. Honolulu Ocean Safety said lifeguards, the Honolulu Fire Department, and a bystander responded to pull both of them from the water before care was transferred to EMS. EMS said both patients were swept underwater, and itโs possible they swallowed water. EMS administered advanced life support and took both patients to the hospital in serious condition.
