White County Fire Services fought a house fire and a brush fire Thursday afternoon. White County Public Information Officer Bryce Barrett said their units responded at around 3:11 p.m. to the house fire to aid the Cleveland Fire Department. The home was reportedly twenty percent involved with fire. Crews entered the home and confirmed no residents were inside. Units doused the fire within minutes of arriving on the scene. No injuries were reported, and the Georgia State Fire Marshalโs Office was requested to investigate. Barrett said units responded to the brush fire in the 300 block of Town Creek Road at 3:13 p.m. Units again assisted the Cleveland Fire Department to douse a controlled burn by a homeowner that got out of control.
