Colquitt County firefighter dies after fight with aggressive form of brain cancer

Bo Sprunger, a former Colquitt County firefighter, has lost his battle with brain cancer, according to a Facebook post by his family.

On Sunday, Nov. 23, his family posted that he โ€œwent to be with the Lord early this morning.โ€

A Facebook group called โ€œBattle with Boโ€ was created to keep family, friends and the community updated during his fight with glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer.

According to a Facebook post on Oct. 13, Sprunger served as a career firefighter and volunteer firefighter in Colquitt County for many years.

He also spent many years at Cranford Jewelers where he repaired jewelry.

โ€œWhether fighting fires or fixing cherished keepsakes, Bo has always been someone people could count on โ€” and now itโ€™s our turn to be there for him,” the post said.

The most recent post on the Facebook page said arrangements will be announced once they are made.
