VIDEOS: The Savannah Police Department and Savannah Fire Department responded to a chemical fire on West Victory Drive on Monday morning.
Savannah Fire dispatchers responded to a fire at 10:38 a.m. at Maaco Body Shop on the 2000 block of West Victory Drive, located near Home Depot.
Savannah police closed off roads on Victory Drive and Skidaway Road and evacuated people in the area. SFD confirmed to WSAV that the cause of the fire was due to a mechanical equipment failure and no injuries were reported during the incident.
The Savannah Fire Department (SFD) declared the fire under control at approximately 10:58 a.m.
