Video shows how crews tried to stop intense flames as they ripped through three homes on the Miccosukee Reservation on Sunday night. It happened near the 37700 block and Southwest 8th Street at around 8:38 p.m., Miami-Dade Fire Rescue said. Over 25 units responded to the scene about 20 miles west of the Miccosukee Resort and Casino. “MDFR units arrived to find three fully engulfed structures with possible extension to nearby vehicles,” authorities said. “Crews quickly began a fire attack to extinguish the fire, while protecting adjacent exposures.” People from surrounding buildings were evacuated out of precaution, but no injuries were reported. Crews had to call for back up due to winds that were spreading fire embers and exposed power lines. The fire has since been placed under control, fire rescue said. A tribal spokesman said that the fire appears to be accidental.
