VIDEO: Seminole County Fire Department responded to a call regarding a house fire after lightning struck the home. At approximately 7:28 p.m. Tuesday, units were dispatched to a single-story residential structure fire on Northumbria Drive in Sanford. The initial 911 caller stated that this was possibly from a lightning strike. It has since been confirmed. The first unit on scene advised that they had an active fire with smoke and flames visible from the roof, SCFD said. There were no injuries reported, SCFD said. Fire departments from Longwood, Oviedo, and Sanford assisted in the response.
