Before starting any fire, Lehigh Acres firefighters advise residents to stop and think, as they have seen an increase in illegal burns during extremely dry conditions. “Lee County, especially in Lehigh Acres, as we approach the beginning of the rainy season, we get really, really dry, and it becomes hazardous for brush fire conditions,” said Matthew Brennan, fire inspector for Lehigh Acres Fire Control.
