Fire breaks out in Southeast DC, no injuries reported, officials say

A fire broke out at a one-story building in Southeast DC on Wednesday morning, firefighters said.

The fire burned a white and green building at the 600 block of Alabama Avenue Southeast, around 11:20 a.m., according to the DC Fire and EMS Department (DCFEMS).

The fire is under control, and there are no injuries. Another truck, an air unit and investigators were requested to respond to the site, said DCFEMS officials.

Firefighters first responded to the fire around 11:20 a.m., according to DCFEMS.
