Kitten rescued from storm drain, ducklings from drainage brook in Wethersfield

PHOTOS: Firefighters and police officers in Wethersfield worked together to rescue a kitten from a storm drain in front of Corpus Christi School on Tuesday morning.ย According to the Wethersfield Volunteer Fire Department, the kitten was successfully rescued by the quick teamwork of police and firefighters. It was also the second animal rescue of the week performed by firefighters and police officers. On Sunday morning, Wethersfield police and firefighters found a group of ducklings in Mill Woods Park, which had become separated from their mother. Wethersfield firefighters said the ducklings were safely removed from the drainage brook and reunited with their mother in the pond.
