Mesa County first responders and towing company rescue horse from canal

VIDEO: On Saturday, Mesa County first responders rescued a horse that was stuck in a canal, according to the Clifton Fire Protection District (CFPD). Using their combined horsepower, CFPD, the Lower Valley Fire District, Grand Junction Fire Department and the Mesa County Sheriffโ€™s Office got the horse out of the canal. Girardis Towing also helped the effort, lifting the horse with a crane. The horse was taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.
