VIDEO: On Saturday, Mesa County first responders rescued a horse that was stuck in a canal, according to the Clifton Fire Protection District (CFPD). Using their combined horsepower, CFPD, the Lower Valley Fire District, Grand Junction Fire Department and the Mesa County Sheriffโs Office got the horse out of the canal. Girardis Towing also helped the effort, lifting the horse with a crane. The horse was taken to a veterinarian for evaluation.
