4 businesses closed, declared uninhabitable after fire in Centennial 

PHOTOS: Thursday morning, firefighters with South Metro Fire Rescue extinguished a fire that was burning in a Centennial strip mall off of East Arapahoe Road. The fire was first reported at about 1:11 a.m. Thursday at 11001 E. Arapahoe Pl. in Centennial, according to South Metro Fire. That’s near East Arapahoe Road and South Havana Street.

Four businesses occupied the strip mall: Vivi Vietnamese Noodle Soup and Grill, Bawarchi Indian Cuisine, Happy Paw Grooming and Baker’s Inn, South Metro Fire said. Due to the length of the operation, additional crews were dispatched for relief, according to South Metro Fire.

Two lanes of East Arapahoe Road were closed as firefighters repositioned equipment to better access the roof of the building, South Metro Fire said. Crews were able to cut into the roof to provide ventilation. The businesses have been closed and declared uninhabitable due to damage from the fire, according to South Metro Fire. About 50 South Metro Fire crews were able to get the fire under control by 2:53 a.m. No injuries were reported in the fire and the cause is under investigation.
