Willows Fire Department launches advanced life support services

PHOTOS: The Willows Fire Department has officially launched its Non-Transport Advanced Life Support (ALS) program, enhancing emergency medical care for the Willows community and surrounding areas. The department announced this on Tuesday.

Effective immediately, Advanced EMTs and Paramedics will provide rapid, high-level medical assessment and treatment at emergency scenes before ambulance arrival. โ€œOur goal is to provide the highest standard of service to the people of Willows. The launch of our ALS program represents a significant step forward in our ability to save lives. Our team has worked tirelessly to bring this capability to our community, and we are proud to officially place it into service,” said Fire Chief Nathan Monck.

The non-transport ALS model allows ALS-trained personnel to be deployed on fire apparatus and quick-response units, working in coordination with local ambulance providers. This system ensures a seamless blend of rapid intervention and continuity of care throughout an emergency.
