VIDEOS/PHOTOS: Firefighters battled a third-alarm fire at a building in Manteca on Monday afternoon, officials said. The fire appeared to have started at an abandoned house at Willow Avenue and Oak Street, the Manteca Police Department said. A spokesperson with the Manteca Fire Department spoke with KCRA 3’s Anahita Jafary and said firefighters are working to save an auto body shop adjacent to the abandoned house, to prevent chemicals from being released by the paint at the shop. A firefighter was injured and taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion, Jafary reports. The cause of the fire will be investigated.
