Fire forces evacuation at Rogers news station

A fire broke out at a commercial building in Rogers, forcing the evacuation of KHBS/KHOG, also known as 40/29. The fire broke out at 2809 W. Ajax Avenue. According to 40/29โ€™s Chief Meteorologist Darby Bybee, the news team had to be evacuated immediately after going on air.

Bybee says fire crews were working to put the fire out. Battalion Chief Chase Sutherlan with the Rogers Fire Department says the fire reached the second floor, where the 40/29 sales offices are located. He says there is likely some damage throughout the building. 40/29 was cleared to go back to the third floor.
