A car exploded when a man was working on it at a car show in Williams, according to authorities. Det. Sanders with the Williams Police Department confirmed the information to 12News during a phone call on Saturday. Sanders told 12News the man was working on a car that wouldn’t turn over, which caused the vehicle to malfunction, and the car blew up. The man suffered serious injuries to his left forearm and upper arm. He was air-lifted to a hospital for treatment. An update on his condition is not available. Sanders said the explosion was loud enough that it was heard throughout the downtown area.
