Willcox Fire-Rescue, along with Benson Fire Dept., responded to a commercial vehicle fire on Interstate 10 at milepost 324 westbound. The fire extended into the brush and median, prompting multiple units to the scene, including Willcox Fire-Rescue. Fortunately, the driver managed to disconnect the tractor from the trailer, which was carrying lumber. The driver was uninjured. The response teams worked efficiently to control the fire and prevent further spread.
