Fire crews stopped progress on the Aztec Fire, which was burning in the Hassayampa River bottom in Wickenburg. The fire started on June 8 and burned about 60 acres, officials with the Arizona Department of Forestry and Fire Management said. The fire was driven by wind, officials said. A task force of engines and two Arizona Forestry hand crews helped local crews fight the fire.
