The Tuscumbia Fire Department has received new life-saving technology. The LUCAS Chest Compression System, is a state-of the-art life-saving device that delivers high-quality, consistent chest compressions during cardiac arrest events.

This device will free up first responders to focus on other needs of critical care. According to Tuscumbia fire officials, the device was deployed within the first 30 hours of being placed into service. The deployment of the device led to positive results for the patient. โ€œThis immediate impact is a powerful reminder of the value of investing in advanced emergency equipment. A heartfelt thank you to our local, state, house representatives and the Colbert County Commission for making this possible. Your continued support is saving lives right here in our community.โ€ said the Tuscumbia Fire Department.
