PHOTOS: Mobile Fire-Rescue Department officials are hosting a fundraiser benefitting Dumas Wesley Community Center, as well as the Muscular Dystrophy Association. According to a joint news release from MFRD and DWCC, firefighters will be around town collecting donations as part of their annual Boot Drive.
Money collected for DWCC will be used for their programs, which include an after-school achievement program, transitional housing for women and children, senior services, emergency food assistance, legal aid and community enrichment program.
โThis is our chance to give back to the community that supports us every day,โ said Mobile Fire-Rescue Interim Fire Chief Barry Glisson. โEvery contribution helps provide vital services and opportunities for those who need it most.โ
