Birmingham fire station hit by bullets after 2 groups exchange gunfire in the area

VIDEO: Birmingham Fire and Rescue confirms a fire station was hit by bullets early Thursday morning. No one was hurt. The shooting happened just after midnight at Fire Station 23 on 41st Place North. There are visible bullet holes in the glass window and damage to other parts of the building. East Precinct officers were patrolling the area in the 4000 block of 40th Place North when they heard gunshots in the area. Police say a man came to the Circle K in the 1700 block of Tallapoosa Street with a non life-threatening gunshot wound. BPDโ€™s Real Time Crime Center was able to determine where the shots came from and what appeared to have taken place. They say two groups exchanged shots in the area.
