The Campbell County Board of Commissioners talked about a new emergency preparedness plan Tuesday called the “Ready, Set, Go!” campaign. The campaign aims to improve how the public is informed and how to respond during different emergencies.
The campaign was shared during a board meeting May 20, where officials pointed out lessons learned from the challenges of the 2024 fire season.
Stuart Burnham, the fire marshal and public information officer, and John Gillenwater, the Emergency Management coordinator, led the presentation. They explained the campaign’s three-step approach to make emergency instructions easier for residents to understand.
