VIDEO/PHOTOS: Two firefighters were hurt Thursday morning after a fire at a Fitchburg duplex. Dane County Dispatch confirmed the report of a fire came in around 5:30 a.m. on the 2700 block of Endive Drive. Firefighters reported seeing smoke and flames through the roof of the building when they arrived. Fitchburg Fire & Rescue put out the flames. Paramedics evaluated the two injured firefighters, who were taken to a local hospital and are expected to be OK. The residents of the home are displaced after the fire, Fitchburg Fire & Rescue confirmed. The Red Cross is helping those residents. No residents were hurt in the fire, officials added. Fitchburg fire investigators are still determining the cause and starting point of the fire.
