Little Chute to build new, standalone fire station

PHOTOS: Little Chute has approved a new fire station with construction expected to begin this spring, the department shared in a Facebook post on Thursday. “This project stands on the shoulders of those who came before us,” the department said in the post. “We are grateful to all past and present Little Chute Fire Fighters whose service, commitment, and pride in this department made this next chapter possible.”

The village addressed the need for a new, standalone fire station in its 2026 budget document.

“As our community continues to grow and require more emergency services, our Fire Department has surpassed the existing facilitiesโ€™ capacity and has a need to expand its space by constructing a modernized, standalone facility to exceed community expectations,” the village said in the document.

“Our Fire Department has worked diligently on a plan to appropriately utilize public funds to develop our future fire station. This station will focus on operational efficiencies and training spaces and incorporate best practices to continuously provide a high-quality service to our community and region.”

The fire department currently shares a building with the Fox Valley Metro Police Department at 200 W. McKinley St.
