Green Bay firefighters join lifeguards for training at Resch Aquatic Center

VIDEO: The Green Bay Metro Fire Department is working with lifeguards on how to handle emergencies at the pool. The city of Green Bay lifeguards and the city of Green Bay Metro Fire Department met at the Resch Aquatic Center on Friday and ran through real life scenarios that could happen while on the job.

75 lifeguards from 3 pools around the city came Friday for continued lifeguard training, in order to keep these skills sharp while theyโ€™re at the pool this summer. โ€œAnd one of our main goals is to make sure our lifeguards are ready and prepared to respond to any time of emergency that happens in our pool. In order to do that we try to make it as real life and realistic as possible, so our friends at the Green Bay Metro Fire Department are always great partners with us. Every summer they come in and help us to that simulation,โ€ said Ann Moeller, the Recreation Manager at Green Bay Parks, Rec. & Forestry.
