A Naples fire that spread from a car trailer to a garage destroyed “an old Ford Model T car,” according to the Buffalo County Sheriff’s Office. At approximately 6:22 a.m. on Sunday, dispatchers were alerted to a trailer fire that had spread to a house it was parked next to on Pheasant Trail in the Town of Naples.
After firefighters extinguished the blaze, they found that the trailer housed a Ford Model T, which had been destroyed as a result. Both the trailer and garage suffered damage as well. The residents of the home reported that their smoke alarms had not gone off and, rather, a person driving by had noticed the fire and woke up the residents. No injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation. Officials are asking residents to test their smoke alarms frequently to ensure their safety.
