VIDEO: One family is displaced after a fire broke out at an apartment in Eau Claire Wednesday morning. A battalion chief with Eau Claire Fire and Rescue says it happened at this apartment on Richard Drive. When crews arrived, they saw flames coming out of a second-floor apartment building. Everyone in the building was able to make it out of the apartment with no injuries. Crews battled the fire and were able to extinguish it before it spread to other rooms. Investigators are working to find the cause of the fire. Several other apartments had significant damage due to smoke, water and fire. The American Red Cross has been contacted to help the family displaced and helped the residents of the apartments that were damaged. The damage is estimated at $100,000.
