Crews respond to structure fire in Town of Clyman

Firefighters have contained a structure fire in the Town of Clyman, according to the Clyman-Lowell Reeseville (CLR) Fire and Rescue. Crews said they arrived just before 11:30 p.m. Sunday night to the 6000 block of Train Road. Upon arriving to the structure, crews found a house fire with flames visible in the kitchen area and spreading to the living room on the second floor. The CLR Fire and Rescue said firefighters went into the house through the basement door and went upstairs to start attacking the fire. They had to retreat from the kitchen area due to intense flames and a roof collapse.

The house suffered extensive fire and smoke damage. Hustisford, Lebanon, Juneau, Watertown, Waterloo, and Neosho fire departments were on scene along with CLR Fire and Rescue. Juneau EMS, Beaver Dam Paramedics, and the Dodge County Sheriff’s Office also assisted. According to the CLR Fire and Rescue, the homeowners and another occupant made it out safely, along with three pets. An investigation into the cause of the fire is ongoing.
