PHOTOS: A house fire in Sheboygan Thursday left two people displaced. At approximately 10:15 a.m., the Sheboygan Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire in the 2300 block of South 16th Street. Crews arrived on scene within three minutes.
Heavy smoke and flames could be seen coming from the second story of the single-family residence. Firefighters battled the blaze while search teams ensured all occupants had safely evacuated the home. Once the fire was under control, crews remained on the scene to check for hot spots. Thanks to their quick response, damage to the home’s first floor was minimized, with tarps used to help protect property from water damage. No residents or fire personnel were injured.
