A new generation of wildland firefighters is stepping into the flames with pride.
At Camp Guernsey, soldiers and firefighters recently graduated from the Western States Wildland Fire Academy, completing intense training, real-world deployments and more than 600,000 acres of wildfire experience.
Leaders say these graduates have proven they have the skill, discipline and heart to protect lives and land.
