Guam Police Department: Heated exchange at traffic intersection turns physical with minor injuries

An argument that started with a driver honking his horn multiple times at another driver in front of him at a Tamuning intersection turned physical and resulted in minor injuries for both drivers. The Guam Police Department said it investigated an assault that happened at around 1:16 p.m. on Sept. 30 involving a man and a woman. According to preliminary information, the incident started when the woman reported that the man, who had been driving behind her, began honking multiple times.

He claimed she was not moving when the traffic light turned green. The confrontation escalated after both stopped at the intersection of Route 10A and Route 1 in Tamuning and exchanged words. The man exited his vehicle, followed by the woman. The argument continued until both engaged in a physical fight. A portion of the incident was recorded and has been circulating on social media, GPD said. Both individuals sustained minor injuries but refused medical treatment, police said. GPD said it closed the case and forwarded it to the Office of the Attorney General for possible indictment.
