The Guam Police Department is looking for a man suspected of burning down an area of a homeless encampment in Harmon. On Tuesday, GPD spokesperson Norman Analista announced to local media police were looking for a male suspect accused of burning down a “woman’s camp” on Route 16 in Harmon across from GU Self Storage.
“A call was made at 12:36 p.m. (Tuesday) to report a disturbance, and then a second call was made to report a fire. By the time units from the Dededo Precinct Command arrived, the suspect (had) fled the scene,” Analista said, confirming the woman’s camp was in the area of a homeless encampment.
The case has since been forwarded to GPD’s Criminal Investigation Section. “No further releasable information is available at this time,” Analista added.
